My name is Erin Jago and Arid Hand is the platform for my creative world.

I create ceramic artworks in my home studio in Perth, Western Australia using hand building pinching techniques, coils and rolled slabs to create each form. The finished surface details are created by painting on underglaze and glazes as well as carving into the clay surface.

I am inspired by my own personal experiences and interactions in nature. I love communicating these experiences through clay and producing artworks that can be enjoyed by others for years to come.

I wish to acknowledge the custodians of the land on which I live and create, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation and their
Elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and ongoing contributions made to this country.
